Ich hätte mal wieder Lust, etwas mit Plone anzustellen...

und vielleicht hilft mir ja dabei das Buch Professional Plone Development von Martin Aspeli, da ich die Entwicklung zu Zope 3 und Plone 3.0 nicht mehr wirklich verfolgt hatte. Und der Klappentext verspricht »This book teaches Plone development best practices, focusing on Plone 3.0. It covers setting up a development environment, customizing Plone's look and feel, creating new content types and forms, connecting to external databases, managing users and groups intelligently, configuring a production-ready server, LDAP authentication, and caching. [...] Readers need familiarity with Python and basic web technologies such as HTML and CSS, and would also benefit from prior Zope/ Plone experience.« Die habe ich ja, also »Haben wollen«!

Dresseuse

Es ist an der Zeit, mal wieder an die Zensur bei flickr zu erinnern. Heute mit einem Bild für Pythonistas, das Ihr trotzdem dort nicht mehr sehen dürft: La charmeuse de serpents (ca. 1880) von  Paul Désiré Trouillebert (1829-1900).

OK, ich weiß nicht, ob die dargestellte Schlange wirklich eine Python ist (wohl eher nicht), aber wenn es eine wäre, wäre das Bild doch eine hervorragende Entschuldigung, warum ich ein Python-Fan bin.

Zope 3 ist mir immer noch ein wenig unheimlich...

da ich die dahinterliegende Philosophie noch nicht wirklich begriffen habe.
